May 19 How to get the Nintendo WiFi adapter to run on VistaAs you may know the Nintendo WiFi adapter isn't supported on anything except Windows XP. Well I got it working on Vista and it's easy.
Step 1: Plug the adapter into the Vista PC. Step 2: Put the CD that came with the WiFi adapter into you PC's DVD drive. Step 3: Select "Computer" from the Vista start menu and right click on "WFCReg103" CD and select "explore" Step 4: Open the folder NintendoWFCreg and find the application "Setup.exe" in that folder Step 5: Right click on the "Setup.exe" file and select "Properties" Step 6: Goto the "Compatibility" tab, tick the "Run this program in compatibility for" check box and select "Windows XP Service Pack 2" Step 7: Click "OK" then run the Setup.exe program. Step 8: The install will run as normal till you receive a warning that the drivers are not signed, ignore this warning and continue with the install as normal. Then you just need to setup the Nintendo Wii and DS as normal and everything is good. April 06 EA finally gets it right.Yesterday I get NBA Street Homecourt. This is the first time I really can't fault an EA Sports game. Unlike other B-ball games where your just playing one game to the next trying to make the championship, this game is an experiance. You get to play with NBA stars on the court's they played on growing up. Videos of the ballers and there court sets the tone of the game perfectly making for a genuine experiance, not just another Basketball game. November 29 Note to TH f'n Q.I just got Smackdown vs Raw 07 the other day with high hopes for it being the best wrestling game on the Xbox, and since it is SDvR I wasn't disapointed in that respect. But I quickly realised a problem. THQ said ECW would be a part of the game. First thing I want to do, as an ECW fan is play as Sandman, Balls, Sabu and the other ECW guys, but not a single one of the ECW Extremist from the old days where in there, with the exception of RVD and Rey Mysterio. I'm sorry, but is SIX MONTHs not enough time to put in a few ECW guys and change the brand of guys like Big Show, Kurt Angle and RVD from RAW to ECW! September 08 EA, the games company I hate. (nothing meaningfull, just a gripe)So I decided to get The Sims Glamor Pack over EA Downloader and the dam game dosn't install, I've tryed the solution that EA gave and well it did install after that, then crash imediantly. The EA downloader seems like a good idea since other services like Steam and Xbox Live Marketplace work so well, but EA has found a way to setback the digital distribution of games so much in my eyes I'm just going back to buying the DVDs. August 07 Long waits ain't worth it.So Street Fight II'; Hyper Fighting is out. Aside from the great, classic, single player, I hate it! I can't get into a online game, at all. Really this games online is so badly broken for me and other people I know that I'm not even going to rate this game. July 13 Run down that frog. The first of the summer XBLA games is out, and it's Frogger, the Konami classic is just the same old game, with a viewable area of the screen only been about 20% you need to get really close to you HD monitor. Not really a worth the 400 points unless your a hardcore Frogger fan save your points for Street Fighter 2 or Pac-Man. Graphics 2/5 Sound 1/5 Gameplay 2/5 Overall 2/5 July 03 Toy CarsI've been playing Forza Motorspot this weekend, just having fun modding cars and making people on Live go, wow, that looks cool. But one thing was missing, a in car view. This feature of PGR3 adds a layer of realism that a camera trailing behind a car, or on the front bumper or hood of the car. Without the in ca veiw the Forza feels like your racing toy cars, not a real car. Even Grand Theft Auto feels less real and more like toy now. This is one feature that I'm going to be looking for in the future for all my driving games. Sorry, not even GT4's roof cam feels realistic now. June 29 I get to finish old games.I know lots of people complain about the lack of games over the Summer period, but I think it's actually a good thing. I just completed Burnout Revenge, something I've been meaning to do for a while, but simply had other games to play. I've gotten through more of Oblivion's side quest in the last month then I have since launch.
This break really is a good thing, but in the middle of Summer seems badly timed. June 18 A Lite week.Well I've had the DS Lite, and totally love it, my wrist are more comfortable with the new smaller size, the screen is bright enough to play outside in the middle of the day. I kinda gave up on the first DS, but I am so happy with the new DS Lite that I've ordered a couple of games new games for it. This is simply a great portable console and beats the old DS hands down, and hands my much more expensive PSP and ass whooping also because it just dose one thing ad dose it well, play games. June 13 First Impression - DS LiteSo I decided to give in and get a DS Lite, and so far I'm very happy. Smaller, brighter, more vibrant colors and a nicer design. I'm going to play with it between my360 and WoW sesions and I'll give a review later. June 12 Review - New Super Mario Bros.So after what seems like half a lifetime Nintendo has finally made a new installment in the Super Mario Bros. serise.
While the basic gameplay is a great, classic, 2D side scrolling platformer, the graphics engine however is a brand new 3D engine, that looks amazingly good. Making a unique visual style that is nothing short of perfect for this game.
The sound is what you would expect if you have played a Mario game or two, all the normal sound effects, background music are tipical Mario, well implimented, but nothing ground breaking.
If you played Super Mario Bros. or its two previous sequills you know what to expect, jump on some heads, toss some fire balls and even take a quick swim. Where it varies from the older games in in the addition of the Butt Stomp and Wall Kick from Mario 64. The addition of two new mushrooms make no differance to the over all game, with the tiny and huge mushies doing what you would expect, making Mario really small so he can enter small pipes made for a conveniently placed small mushie, and the huge mushie makes Mario, well, huge, and can walk through anything. Neither seem as well implemented as the standard pickups.
Overall, this game is a deffinent buy, with classic gameplay in a new package, it dosn't matter if your young or old this is a simple, fun, addictive game that is a worthy sucsessor to Super Mario Bros. 3.
